SECA Plays

PastedGraphic-1

This program is funded by SECA Plays, an initiative of the Shawnee Evergreen Community Association (SECA), and delivered by Get Outside and Play.

Once a month Get Outside and Play brings materials, we call them loose parts, to a local park. Loose parts are open-ended materials, some may call it junk that spark creativity, problem-solving and collaboration. Build with boards, create a kitchen with the pots and pans, discover fairies in the trees, and construct a secret base, anything can happen with loose parts!

This is also a great opportunity to meet others who live in the community, find new friends and build a community that is safe and welcoming for children and families.

Everyone is welcome and the program is free. To ensure program sustainability, regular participants are encouraged to support SECA by becoming a Regular Member (for residents) or an Associate Member (for non-residents) at a cost of just $20 for 12 months.
