Christine Alden dug deep with 12 early childhood educators to explore outdoor pedagogy for her doctoral research. This session will focus on the practical implications of what she learned from these educators. Christine will cover the role of the educator in facilitating play, educators' interactions with children, and considerations for facilitating stimulating outdoor learning environments and managing safety and risk. This session will deepen your understanding of how to meaningfully engage with children outdoors to support play and learning.
