Celebrating the Wonders of Winter

We all know the value of getting outside to move your body but in the winter the cold wind chills you to the bone, ice makes you feel unsteady on your feet and snow gets down your back. Children struggle to put on snowpants, boots and toques.

It is enough to make you wonder if it is worth it and we should just stay inside. The fact is, children still have boundless energy, even in the winter! Indoors they can't move their bodies in the big way they need to. Loud voices are overwhelming and your head pounds.

The solution is to get outside, even in the winter. The struggle and motivation to get out are real but children need it and you do too.

What if going outside in winter was something to look forward to because you had materials and activities that engaged the children and sparked curiosity and learning?

In this 90 minute webinar I will share materials, activities and systems to help you find the joy in winter. You will come away from this session with:

  • Ideas for materials to add to your play space to spark play and movement
  • Understanding of the fascinating world under the snow
  • Books to engage the children about the wonders of winter
  • Simple activities that reveal the wonders of winter

Can you learn to love the snow? What about ice? What about the cold?! If not LOVE, you will leave this session with a greater appreciation for winter and practical strategies you need to get young children in your care outside.
