We all learn best through play. Come experience outdoor play in winter and learn through hands-on workshops with 3 passionate educators!
You will experience three different sessions during the day. Each presented by a different person to give you a unique perspective on outdoor play in winter.
Winter Gross Motor Play
We will delve into the many unique opportunities that winter play provides for building strong, coordinated and regulated little bodies. Activities for keeping warm and encouraging large movements will be covered as well as the developmental theory behind why these types of movements are so important for our kids to be engaged in.

Magical Winter Wonderland: The Power of Process-Based Art
Step into a world of creative exploration and spark your students' imagination with this exciting, hands-on workshop designed for educators who want to unlock the potential of process-based art in a winter setting. Dive into the mesmerizing beauty of nature and create memorable experiences for your students in the snow. Uncover practical tips and tricks to create unique, process-based outdoor art activities that celebrate winter's magic.

Snow, Ice and Cold - Celebrating the Wonders of Winter
Can you love the snow? What about ice? What about the cold?! These are the three gifts of winter. In this session we will learn more about the ecology of winter including the beauty of snowflakes, animal survival strategies and the joy of ice. You will come away from this session with new knowledge about the wonders of winter and ideas to share this with the children you work with.
